Match Report - 19 Nov 2013, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Braves lost to Bluebells
We almost started the match with 5 players but luckily Amy managed to settle Molly/chuck her in bed and hope for the best and got to Henlow in time for the whistle. Playing without WD at first meant that we struggled to contain the Bluebell's attack and even though Rachel H came on to rescue us and complete our team we lost the first quarter heavily. At the break Rachel H changed to WA, and with Rachel S at GA and Rachel G at C this could have got very confusing but we seemed to manage. The second quarter we started to flow a little better, getting used to the positions we were in but still we lost. The third quarter things started to look up; some excellent defence from Kate and Amy and great shooting from Jess and Rach meant that we actually led for most of the quarter but they just pulled away from us at the end. The final quarter we again held them initially but watched them edge ahead and despite great enthusiasm, the bottome line is we lost all 4 quarters. Pretty annoying, but there was some good play and a 'Boom' from Amy, so not all bad. Thank you so much to Rachel H for battling with the A1M to sub for us and to Jess and Hannah for umpiring and scoring in the freezing cold. We appreciated it.
