A freezing cold evening a few questionable calls from their umpire and one or 2 overly keen opponents weren’t enough to put us off our stride....
After a great win last week we were up for another good game. We started strong and took a good lead in the 1st quarter.
The 2nd quarter became a bit sloppy and we allowed Ivel to get within touching distance so we decided to pull our socks up and get going again in the 3rd which we did.
The defence were working hard against 2 good Ivel shooters and Jess Bond was working well intercepting the ball from their enthusiastic WA.
The ball was moving down the court nicely and Shelly and I were able to provide lots of quality passes into the shooters who were converting well.
In summary we made it harder than it needed to be at times but stepped up when we needed to and got another good result in the league with an overall good team performance!
