Won overall!
Blacks controlled the game from the beginning this week with Charlee, Beth and Emily getting free for centre passes and everyone helping out in the centre court. We won the first quarter 7-2, putting us in an excellent position for the rest of the game.
We maintained this great start throughout the next two quarters, which we won 8-4, thanks a solid defence in Holly and Charlee in the defending D, who intercepted the ball on several occasions and maintained balance to defend Zebedee’s shots on goal. Combined with some great dodges in the attacking D and consistent, accurate shooting from Emma and Emily, this put us at excellent advantage.
At this point we knew we had secured a win and were able to enjoy the game much more. As WD, Abi continued to help out in defence as well as pushing the ball forwards, and Beth and Emily teamed up to produce several excellent finishes, leading to a 6-4 win.
The team worked well together and put in much effort to create space and push forwards, resulting in an excellent win for us – keep up the good work!
