Match Report - 20 Oct 2011, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze beat T&S
Another cold match for the Reds but... another win :))
T&S were missing a few of their players, however Baldock were strong throughout the court. Nat, Sharon and Jane worked really well in defense, picking up loads of interceptions and re bounds. By close defending in that third, they forced the long ball which time and time again failed, giving Baldock possession.
Sharon and Jane managed to work out the GA/GS combination and really put them under pressure.
Jess Marley hard a great game at Centre, where she worked tirelessly and really put their Centre under pressure. She also also controlled the defense with plenty of calling.
That left it up to the attack to convert - and convert they did, with star of the match Harriet Jones. Her general play was really great but it was her spot on shooting that really won us the game! Well done Harriet, thanks!!
Julia and Caroline linked up well to own the GK - Julia kept great space making it easy to float balls in to her.
A really great win for the club and testament to how far they've come, both with new additions and commitment to training.
Same again next time :)
