Match Report - 01 Nov 2011, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze beat JWB
Well, Baldock took control early on. Jess Marley in at Centre worked hard at defence and attack. The ball flowed well up the court and the defence were getting some nice turn overs.
Late in the second quarter Julia went down in exactly the same style as Becky. Unbelievably, another Baldock Crusader at A&E for the evening :(
This is another huge loss. We were down to 6 and the girls concentration wavered thinking of Julia and making sure she was OK, JWB stepped up and took the quarter off us. We were/are gutted.
Jess Young stepped in and had a great game at Shooter for us and Jo did herself proud at Goal Defence.
With Becky and Julia out, it really is a huge blow for the Crusaders but we are very lucky that the likes of Jess Young, Caroline, Jane and Jess Marley are super versitile and we will keep going and keep on top of what has been a great start to the season.
Thanks for great support from Penny and great to see Lesa return!! Get that kit on!!
