Baldock Whites match against Baldock Reds - League match
On a freezing night, the first quarter started at a very fast pace with
both teams going full steam. Halfway through the first quarter Jess
Marley had a nasty fall and had to leave the the court, being
substituted by Sydney...(?) The quarter ended in an 11-2 lead to the
Reds, but a great start from Whites too, with some superbe defending.
The second quarter was more settled with some fantastic goals being
scored on both sides. Both teams continued to work hard in all areas of
the court. The second quarter culminated in a 22-9 lead to Reds.
The Whites came into the third quarter with a revitalised spring in
their step, and narrowed the gap considerably with some fine and daring
shooting, despite some brilliant defending by the Reds. Both teams were
fighting a very cold and windy night to get their goals in at both
ends.
In the fourth and final quarter, the Reds shooting was simply inspired
and despite some brave and skillful defending by the Whites, the ball
just seemed to pass through the net effortlessly ending with a well
justified 43-25 scoreline.
A massive thanks to Sydney and Shelley for filling in for the Reds. They both played superbly and were an asset to the team :)
A great match between two teams who had an excellent game, with
fantastic play on both sides!
Oh and a resounding round of applause to a very cold but enthusiastic
crowd!
