Match Report - 30 Apr 2012, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze beat Caldecote
A potential banana skin for Baldock Reds and a must win game.
The Reds went all out in the first quarter and were looking very strong, going 5-0 up. This meaent our defense understandably went to sleep and all of a sudden Caldecote's attack stepped it up a few gears.
The quarter eneded with only a few goals in it.
This is how the next two quarters was to go. Unfortunately things weren't happening for the shooters but Caldecotes GS didn't miss.
Going into the last quarter there was still only 3 or 4 in it. Baldock Reds knew they had to step it up. The Baldock defence, led by Jess Marley at WD was inspired. She put the GA under a lot of pressure and with Nat and Jess' arms around the circle, things were extremely difficult for Caldecote.
Cecky and Jane came in to their own in the circle, putting pressure on the GS who all of a sudden started to miss.
Jess Young and Georgie Knighton both came in to their own in the last quarter. Shooting under immense pressure, they both stepped up and converted their shots.
A great team effort in the end!!!
