Match Report - 07 May 2014, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Braves beat Priory Fusion
For the past few games we've had plenty of players to swap on, but this week we were a bit thrown to only have 6 players, so we were a bit worried as to how this game was going to turn out. Although this definitely gave us the extra push to work extremely hard. We went out into the first quarter really well and supported each other by the defence coming forward to work the ball up the court, this gave us an instant lead although the opposition managed to catch up towards the end of the quarter and we drew 7-7. Drawing the last quarter gave us the push to try to gain a lead in the second quarter, Karen used her defence background as an advantage as she stepped in to play WA and turned over several of the oppositions balls to allow Kate and Emma to work the ball into Alana and Jess to shoot, finishing this quarter 18-10. This continued into the third quarter to finish 24-17. Despite how tired we were from how hard we had worked we continued to show how well we can work together as a team to keep the lead against our opposition. Claire and Kate worked tirelessly to stop the opposition and gaining several rebounds which in turn gave us more chances to score, winning the game 34-24.
Overall a brilliant game which we worked so hard for.
