21 February 2018 - Baldock Crusaders Black VS Pandas Final Score 31-42
Pandas won the toss and took the first centre. They raced into the lead in the first quarter, bringing pressure to Baldock Crusaders Black. Silly mistakes were made by the team and Pandas were able to take possession of the ball a number of times. This resulted in a strong lead for Pandas at the end of the first quarter.
Baldock Blacks fought hard in the second and third quarters. Baldock Black’s defence played to their strengths and managed to intercept the ball, increasing the pressure for Pandas. Baldock Blacks attackers worked the ball down the court to the shooters who secured a number of impressive shots. The score was almost level, making for a very exciting final quarter.
Unfortunately, Baldock Black’s stamina was not up to the standards of the Pandas fitness, causing valuable mistakes, allowing the Panda’s score to increase rapidly. Baldock’s fight wasn’t strong enough as Pandas managed to secure a lead by 11.
The game was a disappointment for Baldock Blacks as easy mistakes and a lack of fitness resulted in a loss. Although there were a number of excellent moments, the team realised that training and working on basic skills is essential for improvement for the rest of the seasons games.
