WOW!!!
What a fantastic result for the club! On a freezing night in Baldock, the reds prepared for battle! They faced the one team that the club have failed to beat in their history.... Until now :)
The girls went out well in the first quarter and established a few goals lead, Jess Marley made some fantastic sprints and Kelly put fantastic pressure on her opponent at WD to keep her out of the game.
Cat and Jenna had made a great start.
The second quarter went much the same and the girls came in at half time four goals in front and smiling.
T&S were clearly riled and changed their team around back to their usual formation. They put a lot of pressure on the girls but we stood firm. Becky and Jane were excellent in defence but their GA started to put up some shots.
The last quarter was vital as the game was still close. A great management decision from Julia saw Jess Marley go to GD and Jess Young to WA. This had a great affect on keeping the GA out of the game. Nat continued to be a rock at centre.
Baldock Reds started to pull away. Jenna came into form and was supported fantastically by Cat.
Unfortunately T&S suffered an injury and asked the girls to stop the game early. This does lead to some debate - The reds were pulling away so lost what might be vital goal difference/perhaps its their responsability to bring subs. However the girls were very sporting and recognised the clubs good relationship with T&S and agreed to stop the game.
All that really needs to come from this match report is YOU ARE FANTASTIC GIRLS!!! WELL DONE!!

Girl of the match goes to Jess Marley for some great work through the court, fantastic front drives and great defence when asked to move in the last quarter.
