The last cup match of the season and another amazing win by the team. Am really sad to say it’s nearly the end of our first season together but what a year we have had as our first year together.
A great win all round a good effort made by everyone. Was great to have Amy Witt back after a few weeks off as we have really missed her.
A great start to Florrie joining the team. She played a quarter at GA and then a quarter at GS scoring some brilliant goals and working well with both Chelsea and George. She is very keen and has been a great supporter this season to our home games and it’s great to finally have her on the team. Welcome Florrie x
The first quarter started off a bit shaky with myself playing centre having not played for 3 weeks I struggled but thankfully the rest of the team were on form to support me and we won this quarter.
The second quarter continued our winning streak with some great play from everyone and brilliant interceptions from Charlee. Both shooters were right on track to score everytime the ball was in their possession.
The third quarter seemed to not go as well as the other two for some reason Amy was being challenged a lot by her defender very unfairly but she handled it very well and did not let it get to her during play. Well done Amy you didn’t rise to her level!!!! However Chelsea did score an amazing goal.
The fourth quarter was by far the best we have played. The ball flowed nicely down the court and the shooters Chelsea & George were on top form. I came back on as WA and really enjoyed playing. Jess Farmer re-discovered her voice again and that she can shout loud to make sure the ball was passed around correctly to where it was needed. Chelsea was being marked tightly but this did not deter her from giving it her all and scoring or passing to George when needed. Well done Chelsea you are most certainly the Girl of the match this week.
So am sad to say we have only 1 game left in May but what a fantastic season I have had as my first as Captain of the Blues. All the girls have supported me well and I can proudly say what a great team we have made. Thank you to you all.
