Match Report - 30 Jan 2012, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze lost to cup/plate unconfirmed
Match re Jewels in the Bedfrod cup competition.
As usual the Reds were playing with a depleted team. However we were lucky enough to have Florrie to help out at GA.
The game started strangely as 5 minutes had passed and neither team had managed to score!!
However, the shooters soon got warmed up and the goals started going in - unfortunately it was Jewels that were scoring.
They have a strong and 'enthusiastic' WA and she seemed to bulldoze her way through the court. They were tighter on their players than we were, however our defence stood strong.
However the attack just didn't gel and we lost the first two quarters.
With a move of Jane from GK to GS, Jess Young from GS to WD and Jess Marly from WD to GD Baldock managed to really knuckle down and take the third quarter.
The last quarter returned to being just like the first one and Baldock Reds lost the last one.
We are very disappointed by the last two weeks but have agreed that injuries considered, we are still doing really well and if we can just tread water until we get out first team back, we will have done a good job.
