Match Report - 20 Sep 2011, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze beat A line
Wow! First match back of the new season. We're still recovering from some injuries! However, we have a great depth in our squad and have had some fantastic players trial and join the club this year.
Last night we played in torrential rain and just holding on to the ball was almost impossible.
Julia had a smashing first quarter and the team settled into an early lead. Jess Marley steadied the game at centre. Becky, Jo and Sharon worked really well as a defensive partnership, keeping A Lines attack at bay.
As the game progressed, the weather got even worse and the game descended into chaos! We managed to keep some play going and Emily made some great moves to keep the attack positive.
It was nice to have some fresh legs in Jess Young, coming on to feed some nice balls.
We did really well to keep A Line at bay. Its a great start to our season and we look forward to the next game :)
