Match Report - 14 Nov 2011, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Blaze beat Baldock whites
It was great to welcome back Lesa and Jenna to the reds.
A really great game by both Baldock Teams.
In the first quarter there was nothing between the two sides. Then Jenna started to sink some fantastic shots and the red defence turned over some White ball.
Into the second quarter Reds took control. Nat constantly pressured all the players through the court and took some great intercpetions. Jess Young fed some lovely balls into the circle.
Jane and Caroline worked really hard on the Whites attack and made it very difficult for them to get ball into the circle. Jo also pressured fantastically in the defensive third making the Whites second guess their game.
In the third quarter Lesa came into shoot and Harriet moved to WA as the Reds suffered yet another injury in Jane at GK. Jess Young stepped into GK.
Caroline and Jess managed to maintain the defence and the whites scored no goals in that quarter.
The last quarter saw Nat continue to push on and make a real difference at Centre. All the girls played really well and Lesa managed to control the circle so well as her and Jenna continued to 'pop them in!'
As I said, a lovely game and some great play from Amy and Vicky for the Whites especially.
We look forward to the return game on Monday.
Girl of the match goes to Jo Evans for fantastic defence but also great support in attack! Well done Jo!
