Match Report - 13 Nov 2013, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Spirit beat Baldock Blues

Yes it's that time of the season once again, it's time to document yet another eventful and well battled match between two of Baldock Crusaders Netball Club's own teams. It was a cold winters evening when the Whites faced opponents in the form of their own club colleagues the Blues. Both teams were prepared for a fierce battle, and as soon as the whistle was blown that is exactly what happened, Whites took an early lead very soon into the first quarter with some brilliant play moving the ball up the court to the shooters who quickly converted the passes into goals. The Blues proceeded to respond to this by putting up a hard battle, forcing the whites to up their game to allow them to hold onto their well earned first quarter victory!
The second quarter followed much of the same pattern of the previous, with the whites defenders working in perfect patent-ship to prevent the blues from creeping up on their own goal advantage. A the whistle blew for the start of the third quarter the Blues had obviously drawn strength from their half time team talk as they returned to the game with new found fire in their tactics and skill and really made the whites have to up their game and ultimately edged ahead and won the third quarter.
However whites were once again back to their old selves in the fourth and final quarter managing to portray how they have grown as a team and how well they can work as a team, allowing the ball to move smoothly from the defenders, to the centre court player and then in to the shooting circle showing why they were such worthy winners!
Both teams worked excellently at portraying Baldock Crusaders Netball Clubs well held values of sportsmanship and fair play! Until next time we wish both the Whites and the Blues the best of luck with the rest of the season!
