Match Report - 06 Nov 2013, Baldock Crusaders Netball Club Baldock Crusaders Braves lost to Caldecore Cobras
We started the match without a full team and late arrivals, meaning we had to start the game with only 5 players which really affected the way we played to begin with, allowing the opposition to gain the lead.
Once our player had arrived we were able to continue the first quarter with 6 players, but it wasn't enough to catch up to the lead the opposition already had and we lost this quarter 12-3.
The second quarter was similar to the first, the opposition having a player unmarked made it really hard to regain possession in centre court, meaning we lost this quarter 11-2.
Although in the third quarter, we managed to turn it around and work well as a team. Kate helped out Emma and Jess B by coming further down the court so we had an extra player to pass to, giving us the time to make it easier for the ball to be passed into Jess F and Alana to shoot. With this and excellent defence from Claire and Kate, we won this quarter 10-7.
We continued our hard work in the 4th quarter but lost by two goals with the score 11-9 to the opposition.
A really well played game despite a rocky start and only 6 players!
