Baldock Crusaders Blacks VS Baldock Crusaders Youth (Final Score 20-36)
After a long debate regarding the number of players Baldock Blacks had available for the game, the team was ready to tackle Baldock Youths with 6 players and 1 guest player. Unfortunately, time was not on Baldock Blacks side as our guest player was not available to play at the beginning of the game. Therefore, Baldock Blacks played the first quarter with 6, allowing Baldock Youths to use this to their advantage to gain a 11-5 lead.
Now with 7 players, Baldock Blacks fought hard in the second and third quarters. The team began to close the gap in the score, bringing encouragement and determination to Baldock Blacks. Unfortunately, the lack of players in the first quarter meant Baldock Blacks were at a disadvantage from the start. Although Baldock Blacks fought hard, the final quarter presented the advantage that Baldock Youths had over Baldock Blacks as their stamina meant Blacks did not have the fitness to keep playing to their standards. Silly mistakes and sloppy passes meant the score could not matched. Baldock Youths won the game 36-20. Again, more skills for Baldock Blacks to develop and an improvement in fitness is definitely required for the team.
