Baldock Crusaders Blacks VS Great Barford 33-28
Baldock Blacks started off strongly by securing a lead in the first quarter. The team worked hard to ensure Great Barford were unable to gain a lead as defence caught a number of rebounds and interceptions.
The pressure for Great Barford became obvious as Baldock Black continued to increase their lead. Attack worked the ball around the D to ensure the shooters had plenty of options to shoot. The score increased and the pressure on Great Barford was becoming increasingly obvious. Baldock Blacks positivity and team support encouraged the shooters to grab every opportunity to secure an extra goal.
The final quarter had the potential for the Baldock Blacks curse where the team become panicked and continoisly loose the ball. This quarter had potential to follow that curse as Great Barford suddenly secured 6 more additional goals, meaning they were 4 behind Baldock Blacks. However, Baldock Blacks kept calm and positive by encouraging each other. The shooters increased the score and Baldock Blacks won the game!!!!
Baldock Blacks presented their individual skills and team attributes throughout the game. These skills were unfortunately not used to their potential in our previous few games as the final quarter curse pressure saw us loose too many games. Therefore, this game was well deserved and helped to bring encouragement to the team!
